For an incredibly inviting and friendly atmosphere this restaurant lacked flavor, luster and ultimately felt average. We had a reservation, however the restaurant was full so they sent us upstairs to wait, I have to admit, the lounge upstairs is very comfortable and cozy. About 10 minutes later we were assigned a table and headed to our very tiny table space. The food was magnificently well presented, however it tastes average and didn't seem authentic. I would expect little more flavour, it was very bland. Very rich, fired dishes as we ordered a lot of recommended specials. All in all, it was a great time with good company, but I won't be returning.

I am not sure why, I just love this place...Had a boring and uninspired dinner at PIANO PIANO around the corner and wandered up to this place. Should have absolutely come here for dinner or apps...just a cool, small space, great cocktails, unpretentious and a great vibe...I cant wait to go back and eat, maybe at Little Sister downstairs but you can get alot of that food upstairs at this bar too...keep up the good work guys, great spot.
Great service by all the staff here both upstairs and down! Very knowledgeable with cocktails, food is great! It’s our go to date spot.
I loved this place from the moment I walked in. Visually the space is gorgeous, the bartender greeted me warmly and explained the amazing drink options. He can make anything! Seating is comfortable, music great, and bathrooms were lovely! Bar Batavia has done this right. Thank you.
Food here is always amazing. Drinks are great too. However a bit on pricy side. Quiet bar in midtown Toronto. Worth going ..
