Recently enrolled my son into this school and he’s very happy there. The teachers are great with the kids. All the kids I see during drop offs and pick ups are very happy, calm and engaged. The daily activities and schedule of weekly activities is broad and allows time to have learning experience as well as fun. This specific location is unique because there is a library and the children make trips to the small library weekly. Also they have a gym coach who comes in and once a week they have a gym class. Their outdoor facility right off the classroom is perfect for children of this age to explore and play. There is also a large field and park that they are able to utilize for various activities or nice days. The food provided is quite good. I have personally tasted a few of the meals and I’m impressed. Good quality, clean, and Surprisingly delicious. My son and I am quite happy with the facility and teachers. I had my son enrolled in another Center that was supposedly like a Montessori, but within 2 weeks it really fell short for me in terms of lack of teaching, learning and overall activities and engagement of the children. There is a huge difference between real Montessori and ‘Montessori style’. This school in the classroom and outdoor areas have great materials which are all intact and not damaged for the children to experience and explore. I would happily recommend this Center to other parents who are making tough decisions about their child’s first educational experience. Two words of advice I can offer in my experience is to scrutinize everything about the school and trust your gut.

My two sons go to Northwood Gallanough. They love it there and it is an amazing school with loving & caring teachers. We are grateful that we picked the right school for them.
This location offers a variety of subjects and has some good resources, but sadly does not have enough teachers who are patient and caring. One specific teacher, Cherifa (Senior Casa Instructor), speaks in a tough tone with the students, gives them little opportunity to make mistakes and singles them out, while providing minimal compassion. Students seem content when leaving the classroom, but it is because she changes her demeanor prior to pick up. If a student does not wish to participate, instead of speaking to them in an inviting and calm manner, she demands that they do what she says. She is a dictator, not a teacher. I would recommend parents to place their children in any other classroom but hers.
I don't like how children are treated, how teacher are speaking to the children. I can't comprehend that they don't have enough staff and what would they if one staff gets sick, hopefully they won't let the staff come due to lack of staff member.
