This is home to the BEST resource locations for public information or needs. Practically ANYTHING you need, you can ask this place! Definitely worth checking out - even if just browsing online. It offers a LOT more than people may think. If they don't offer it themselves or have a partner that does, they can direct you to whom may be able to help. The main building is called \The Working Centre\, and is known as an employment resource with a job board, computers and fax that the public can use, they offer taxes services and other learning opportunities, and have great friendly staff too. The first time I looked at their site, it was overwhelming with information of all the services they offer. They are no longer just one building either, as they are spread across downtown with a few buildings. One being the Queen Street Commons Cafe across the street (great for vegan/ vegetarian food), and another being the building that hosts Recycle Cycles (where anyone can come and learn how to build/ fix a bicycle), and The Green Door (very cheap thrift store for clothes, accessories, footwear, and even some home made products! They also have various classes they offer, and I also run a community craft club here every Friday). I took a couple of free courses within the region, and one was in collaboration with this place for learning the course materials.
