Very interesting site and visitor center, our guide Wendy was very friendly, knowledgeable about the area and dam's history and answered our questions very well, and was a wonderful guide! The exhibits, especially the hands-on exhibits, were wonderful. I particularly enjoyed the ones where you could generate electricity by working a contraption and see the electricity light up lightbulbs or power other objects. Unfortunately, some of the more delicate exhibits were not working, maybe because previous visitors did not heed the sign that said NOT to turn on some of the more sensitive exhibits, like the neon light tubes, for more than 3 seconds, which were not working when I went there. Other than that, everything was very nice. It's a great place for children as well, children can learn very much about electricity from both the film shown at the beginning, the hands-on exhibits, and the interactive exhibits they can play with. The history museum was also very nice. Would definitely bring visiting family or friends here! Very friendly and helpful staff, and wonderful exhibits.

A great educational destination to learn about how hydroelectric dams work and energy in general. They film movies/shows here frequently and the scenery outside is great! Be sure to ask about the paranormal activity that has been documented!

You can't beat free for a price of admission. The docents who led our school group were well versed in the history of the place and encouraged questions. They gave some great electricity demos. The displays are in good working order and well maintained despite what must be thousands of visitors trying the hands on activities each year. I would recommend this for a fun school trip or family outing. I wish the wifi was stronger throughout and that there was a larger space for school groups to eat indoors in case of bad weather.

Awesome historic location. Walk through an old hydro electric dam and learn about how BC gets powered. My son loved it and I had a blast. Would definitely recommend as a nice indoor getaway.
