I would like to thank Chad the supervisor for his hospitality. The front desk was very helpful but Ally was helpful and fun at the same time. I stayed in The Peninsula Suite and it was beautiful. You walk in the door and on the left is a half bath then you enter a hugh living room with a kitchenette. There is another door leading to huge bedroom with a Jacuzzi tub. Lastly there is a balcony which is good for tanning or just to hang out in the evenings to look at the stars. I'm looking forward to my next stay.
This place was our life saver. We had a very bad experience in an Airbnb and had to look for a hotel in the middle of the night. Prices in the area are not the cheapest. We called the hotel and the man that was on the reception was very friendly to answer our questions, he wished us a safe travels to the hotel (as we were traveling from Toronto to Niagara) and told us he would be there to receive us at any time. We literally arrived at 3am all tired and cold, the receptionist (as he said) was waiting for us with a smile and told us he would accommodate us in a room overlooking the most quiet area of the garden so we could rest better, he gave us a late check out as it was so late. We didn't know what to expect, and by that point we would have stayed anywhere. The hotel was clean, bed and pillows were super comfortable, it was safe and we rested very peacefully. The prices are great for what you get; and most importantly, the attention we received from this man, and the woman who was at the reception next morning couldn't have been better. This hotel was like a warm hearted hug to our night. We will definitely come back when we visit Niagara falls again.
Ill try to be as objective as i can about this hotel. Pros - it was the cheapest at the time we booked it. Backyard looks nice. You could do a garden wedding. Decent looking lobby. Sevice was average. I tried asking front desk if they knew any good vegetarian restaurants, the person at the counter didnt know so he asked the lady manager. The response i got was "go google it". Cons- Rooms are very dated. They tried to clean the rooms but it was not up to standards. Phone was dated and very dusty. Towels were worn and one even had a smirch of lipstick on it. Bathroom vent was noisy and did not work. Air conditioner was noisy all night. We were able to sleep but it was annoying. Lady manager was rude too. You are asked to pay a 10 parking fee, but outside the hotel, it says the hotel assumes no liability. I agree that we are paying for space, but who would park there anyway except hotel guests. You wont park at the hotel if you want to visit the falls area or Clifton Hills where most of the action is. On google reviews, it said "a gem tucked away" - yes to tucked away , absolute NO for "gem". I would have given it a one and a half star but the app only had 1 or 2 stars. If you have time, search well. Look at the worst google reviews because chances are, they may be the most realistic, and if you can live with the worst review , then go for it.
Reasonably priced as it is 15-20 minutes from downtown Niagara Falls. Our room was small but clean; the noisy a/c made it hard to sleep. The TV was small with a poor selection of channels. The onsite restaurant was closed during our stay but there is a mall across the street. The grounds are nice and there is a tiny chapel.
A very good place. We unexpectedly happened to stay overnight at Niagara and found this place to be a good option. The well maintained room also had the garden view which is beautiful. Overall It was a good experience and will definitely go to this place again.
Bare minimum type of hotel. Room could be cleaner, and the furniture needs to be redone or refinished. Front desk staff was super nice. I liked the hot chocolate stand in the lobby. Bed was comfy, bigger pillows needed.
