I purchased/ordered an item from here which I was told would take up to 7 business days, try 6 weeks! Because of the time it took to get here, I no longer needed the item. The item in question was a “special order”, meaning I had to have something ordered in that they simply just did not carry in store. It was not custom, etc. I was not told that would mean I would not have an option for exchange, refund, or store credit if the item wasn’t suitable upon arrival. If I had known, I certainly would have made a more informed decision before buying. As a matter of fact, the employee I spoke with on the phone tried to tell me that he did express that it was “final sale” and was quick to shut me down when I said that he didn’t and when I suggested an exchange or store credit. I now have an item still in it’s box that is useless to me. I wanted to support local when I could have easily ordered this item online on amazon (with a no hassle return policy) but I’m afraid to say this will be my last time shopping at outfitters.

Great store. Best selection in town for outdoor gear (and sometimes the only place for high quality camping and hiking gear). They also often host educational and community events.
