Workshop is led by a passionate young entrepreneur. It is well organized with a section about education about chocolate. We tried different types of beans, nibs, as well as different chocolate types. Mara is passionate and wants to share her knowledge so we can all understand the benefits of chocolate, support the farmers (Fair trade) and take care of our health (as little processed ingredients as possible). The second part of the workshop is hands on with pouring and decorating chocolate bars. Time to learn how to temper chocolate.

I organize a private lesson for my husband’s birthday present. It was us and 4 of his friends and we were greeting warmly and served the most delicious hot chocolate I’ve ever had (non dairy too!!). We then sat down in a very spacious area and listened to Mara talk about the origins of Cacau , some basics of chocolate and tasted all sorts of her own samples from raw to milk. Delicious! The funnest part for me was making the bars. Mara had the chocolate tempered and prepared so we were able to pour the chocolates in the molds and choose from a multitude of toppings. I really appreciate Mara’s passion for her craft and the organic, while ingredients she uses. No refined white sugar!! I will definitely book another class for my 9 year old and some of her friends. The space is big enough to safely social distance and we all felt very safe. Thank you Mara!!

We took a 2 hour chocolate workshop on Valentine's Day and Mara delivered an educational, delicious and fun experience for us. There were 8 of us in total and we started in the cafe part of the Crème de la Crumb, where we went through intros and learned about her journey and then about the history of cacao and health benefits. We then tasted a variety of different chocolates before we moved to the kitchen part of the store where we got hands-on experience of making chocolate. We each took home 2-3 bars of chocolate we made ourselves. Mara was inspirational and attentive with great customer service and I highly recommend this workshop to anyone who likes chocolate! Even more impressive is that she is an immigrant who established a social enterprise in our local community and you can feel her passion. I will pay more attention to the chocolates I buy in the future, and buy \craft\ chocolates whenever I can!

My absolute favourite chocolate in the world! Such amazing flavours that I haven’t seen any other chocolate bars ever! I can’t find anything that unique and healthy in stores. Period. This is the only chocolate that is sugar-free, organic, gluten-free, and vegan, And it happens to taste like magic. It’s so natural, earthy, and real. YUMMMM I’M FOREVER ADDICTED!!! Much love, Cheryl C.

What an excellent workshop! Six of us girls had a bachelorette party at The Good Chocolatier last month, and we all loved it! It was full of information about the health benefits of cacao, where it comes from and how it is made into chocolate. Taste-testing the different forms of cacao/chocolate and then making our own chocolate bars was delicious and fun. The kitchen was spacious and clean, with care taken to make the workshop safe during Covid-19 too. Would highly recommend this workshop! Thank you Mara, for your expertise and passion and for hosting such a fun event for us!
