The good: They have a great selection and the eye test was extremely good and thorough, the prescription worked great and I know that's not easy with my eyes. Most people were friendly. The bad: The transition lenses were terrible. I've had transition lenses for almost 20 years but never this badly balanced. They went dark in seconds, but took up to 5 minutes to turn light again. This means I was literally just sitting and waiting for my vision to get back when going inside. It was probably because of the cold, but this is Alberta, so it's going to get cold... The ugly: I got tired of it after a couple of months, and called to ask for lenses without transition. After this story I at least expected a discount, but I was just told I could pay full price for new lenses, which I did. When I picked them up, after some back-and-forth over the old lenses, it seemed that I should have gotten them for free if I had not been so polite. My (very nice) optometrist who walked by actually made a joke about getting 'even more money out of me'. I feel cheated and won't be back.

My experience at the Eye Wearhouse was very positive. As I walked in I was welcomed with a very friendly greeting. My first thought was that I was like a child in a candy store, surrounded by rows and rows of attractive sunglasses. How could I possibly choose? Katelyn was such a wonderful help to me. Being a little older, I know what I don’t like, and Katelyn was very patient. She was very adept at offering choices and pointing me in the right direction. I came away from the store very satisfied with both the service and the sunglasses.

What a friendly and fun atmosphere. I am so happy with my choice to try The Eye Wearhouse in Olds! So many choices for trendy glasses and my optician Katelyn helped me find some awesome clear frames. I can’t wait to pick up my new glasses. I would highly recommend Katelyn and the rest of the staff. The great pricing when buying more than one pair was a very nice surprise. Thanks again Katelyn

We went into the Sun Wearhouse and I was in need of some sun glasses, Emily was very welcoming and friendly! We were just browsing and there was no pressure. I pointed out a pair that I liked and she helped me look through many different brands with similar styles. She was excellent with my 5 year old son who loves to look and touch! Went in before Christmas for a pair of sunglasses. Emily was super helpful and made us laugh the entire time we were in there. Tried on quite a few pairs and no complaints on all the extra cleaning she had to do! Will definitely be back!
