Whiskeyjack Explorations

We went here on our last day of vacation 3 weeks ago. We were expecting a history lesson on how this chocolate company has made their name, and we certainly were not disappointed. Our guide was very knowledgeable, and in fact, her father actually worked at the factory. We saw a lot of great artifacts of the old museum, even though it had burnt down a few times. We learnt about some strange habits of the older founders, like the fact that one of them use to eat 83 LBS of chocolate every day, and he passed away at 83 years old. We then went and watch the hand dippers in there special room, which was really cool to see, a specialty that doesn't exist in very many places anymore. Of course, what's the point to go to a chocolate museum, without getting any chocolate. Once the tour was finished, we headed straight to the store that is in the front of the factory. This cute little door greats you as you walk in. It feels old, which is awesome. It really makes you think how it would have looked 50 years ago. Next time I'm in St. Stephen, I will certainly stop by the chocolate store again. Until next time.

This is a wonderfully laid out museum with a great staff, and a sweet surprise at the end :).

Great tour. Our guide was entertaining and knowledgeable. Plenty of free samples too. Down side is the space is tight for large groups. Having smaller groups would be better.
