When suspecting we needed a new element for our oven, my wife and I decided to support local and try the appliance shack in Barrie. We called and spoke with a woman regarding replacing our existing element, and promptly ordered one. We eagerly awaited our new element in the mail. It was much to our regret that she didn't inform us that there are actually two elements in the oven, the broil (up top) and the bake (at the bottom), and the that the bake element is often internal and not visible without some disassembly (one would hope that they, the experts, would have helped us, the customer, clarify this before finalizing our order). We had ordered the wrong element. \Oh well\, we thought. \We'll just call them and sort our this miscommunication\. However, the store refused to take any ownership for the mistake and swiftly informed us that WE had ordered the wrong part. The would not accept a return nor were they cooperative with coming up with any solutions to the issue. Not only did we waste 70 on a part and shipping, now we have a perfectly good bake element that has nowhere to call a home. Next time, we will use Amazon for our appliance parts needs.

Don't support these RUDE ladies, they are unprofessional and inconsiderate - please go elsewhere if you can! If I could leave a zero I would. The place closes at 6 and I 100% get that. However, I called right before 6 to say I couldn't find the place and was rushing trying to find it in time. I got the rudest lady on the phone. She basically hung up on me after I told her I was leaving Ontario in 2 days and I just needed to know if they had the piece I needed so I could come back tomorrow. Anyone else with any amount of compassion would have not acted the way she had. I decided to show up 1 minute late still to see if I could find out if they had my piece. Just as I pulled up the 2 ladies were walking out the door. They proceeded to laugh in my face. I decided to look in the front window (to see if they at least had my peice in obvious view). I wish I could tell you how terribly sketchy these ladies looked and how rude and unprofessional they came across. Why would I want to give these ass' my money. Any other human being would have at least let me check the wall to see if it matched the piece I had right in my hand. I am so upset and am in such a perdicament now. If you can go somewhere else please do. I have tenants and am just trying to ensure they have proper living conditions. God. People are terrible sometimes.

Great service and friendly staff. Kudos to Joanne for searching for a cheaper alternative to the charcoal filter for a microwave. Her diligence and customer-oriented service saved me 7.00 compared to the brand named product replacement. This is the kind of service that keeps me using them as my \go-to\ parts supplier in Barrie. Well done....and Thanks Joanne.

Searched all over for a bulb for our fridgidaire Gas Stove and thankfully the Appliance Shack had one for a fraction of the price without having to pay outrageous shipping cost. I highly recommend this company and would definitely use them again.

Really positive experience. Bought fuse and door switches for my microwave. A bit of seasoned advice convinced me to change out all 3 switches so I don't have same problem again and have to open back up again (this was second time). I independently researched and this seems to be the way to go. A couple of weeks in and still working well. Saved me from buying new 200 microwave.
