Staying here rn, and I'm lovin it
First time at Canusa and we absolutely love it! The kids had a blast and we caught a few Lake Trout. Nelson and his wife were very accommodating and our cabin (#4) was great! We will definitely be coming back!
Flew in a couple days ago, and stayed overnight. Great stay with a wealth of information from the owner. Cabins are exactly as they were 30 years ago, loved it. Fantastic BBQ and Deck right on the lake's edge. Cabin was super comfortable and very clean and everything was very safe. Stayed out on our private dock at night and saw the Milky Way and millions of stars, priceless. Filled up with aviation fuel before we left, Can't wait to return next year. Thank you.
We just returned yesterday from here....The host was very accommodating as we had had reservations at another resort and we made a big error and showed up on the wrong week for our reservation. This was the Canada Day long week-end and the lake resorts were all booked up....We tried several lodges to no avail. The host here at Canusa went above and beyond to make sure we had a place to stay. They hurried and cleaned the cabin for us as it had just been vacated and they made sure we were comfortable and had everything we needed. We stayed in cabin #8 and the view from the deck was stunning. The mature trees and the lake view were so soothing. The cabin was well outfitted and comfortable and the water pressure and amount of hot water was amazing. The heat worked very well and the cabin was well appointed. Honestly Canusa saved our vacation this year and I thank them very much...A happy camper :)
On an island. Each cottage was far enough apart we didn't disturb the neighbours with our music. The lake is huge and a trip to high island is fun. They closed the activity room but they have a hottub for everyone's use. Everything was really clean. Satellite reception kind of sucked but you shouldnt be watching tv anyway. Owners are awesome people!
