I played at the Rideau Club in Ottawa before coming back here. Winnipeg is so lucky to have this facility. I have nothing but positive things to say about the staff, the courts (both indoor and outdoor) and the overall ambience. After playing in bubbles this is like playing at Wimbledon centre court.
As a spectator, the lounge needs updates and a better food menu. Some of the chairs are ripped and worn and old carpet and workout equipment in poor taste is scattered around one of the lounge areas. The courts are decent, as are the clean change rooms. But we need better management to draw more competitions for the people who want to play and that takes fundraising and sponsorship management. Would love to see more incentive to expand this amazing community sport from the academy. The space has the capacity to grow and plenty of players across Canada would come
