Great authentic Portugese restaurant, with the friendliest service, and home cooked feel. Have been there a few times and the chef always comes out to talk to our table and ensure we are enjoying ourselves (which we always are of course).
This is not a reflection of the food, as unfortunately I did not have the opportunity to sample, this is concerning how I was treated when I entered the restaurant. An older lady appeared from the kitchen when I entered. She greeted me with a "hello", and when I asked for a menu, she looked at me as if I had three heads, and replied "portugues?". I replied that I didn't speak Portuguese, and asked if she spoke English, also if she spoke French, even Italian as well, in those respective languages. She shrugged her shoulders, put her hands up in the air and acted as if I was inconveniencing her by speaking English in Canada! Strike one, looking at a customer funny. Strike two, asking the customer if they speak a language that is not widespread in a country where we speak English and French! She then proceeds to tell me that there is chicken breast but I would have to wait "Five zero" minutes for it to be ready. At this point, I just left. I was craving piri piri chicken, not chicken breast. Perhaps they should hire someone to deal with customers who actually speaks English, or who doesn't pretend not to.
Very tasty and authentic Portuguese food! Highly recommended.

A hidden gem! This restaurant is now in my top 3. Excellent food, lovely atmosphere, top notch service, reasonably priced. I stumbled into Piri Piri with no expectations and was blown away. This was some of the best food I've had in my mouth in a very long time. I will be back to try every item on the menu and encourage everyone to do the same. If you have not been here yet, go. Now. You'll thank me later.
I must say they have excellent take out service . I was on my way home from work with limited time to make dinner for my family. I called ahead to place an order of their grilled chicken and shrimp. The girl that took the order over the phone was nice and also made some suggestions of their daily specials. The food was hot and ready when I got there and didn't have to wait around. Kids and spouse loved the food. Piri Piri helped save the day :)
If you are searching for authentic Portuguese dining look no further you are here. Memorized, spoken menu at your table with info per meal. We enjoyed our dinner of 4 on Nov.01/19. Their chicken is full of flavor also to mention if you specify your desire for chicken. They don't cook it ahead of time but rather at the time of sitting. This is the difference between a fashionable restraunt and here.
