The staff is excellent. The level of service at this Table Top exceeds nearly every establishment in Edmonton that I've been to. Here's why: they will actually take an extremely generous amount of time to help you figure out a complicated board game. They will CONTINUE to come back until they are confident that you understand the game and they are happy to do so. Friendly, professional, respectful, but also perfectly skilled to make you feel at ease in a casual setting. The snacks are good too. The only gripe I might have is that the chairs are hard wooden chairs, but that might have something to do with COVID. Another thing! The prices are exceptionally fair.

Great hangout spot with good food and coffee too. Really appreciate the 10 buy-in payment model versus the pay-by-the-hour model. Board game selection is plentiful and Table Top Cafe seems to have adapted well to the COVID age. A "quarantine shelf" is used for games that have been touched and masks are required when leaving your table. Definitely recommended!
I can't recommend this place enough! My friends and I come all the time for years due to their amazing selection of game, great drinks and food, and awesome helpful staff. To top it off they have been incredibly responsible during this covid pandemic and have found unique ways to continue giving awesome service. Definitely a local business worth supporting!
Great atmosphere, service and food. We reserved a couple tables for a birthday and everyone had a blast. Tons of great board games (even though we only ended up playing Cards Against Humanity). Their hummus was superb, the butterbeer made us go to the liquor store after so we could make it, and the cafe drinks were huge for the price. Thank you, Table Top Cafe. I hope to return many times.
It's hard to find a table top cafe in Edmonton. It's even harder to find one as good as this. What sets Table Top Cafe apart from its competition is the quality of service that would put many restaurants to shame. The staff regularly walk around the floor to take empty plates and ask to refill glasses. Quality service, delicious food and drink, excellent environment, and great game selection make Table Top Cafe more than worth the inconvenient location.
Tabletop cafe is one of the greatest local businesses you can support at this time! The staff is friendly, the selection of board games is great and the food is pretty good too!! A great place for a group date, hanging with friends, or any gathering for that matter!!
The place is great and lots of fun. I got a sail and rail game thinking it was "ticket to ride". It was not the same. The staff was super helpful and tried to explain the game to us. Over all it was a good experience to be out again. They also have a quarantine games section that have been used. It seems safe.
Made a reservation for noon on a Saturday, the staff were friendly and knowledgeable. The food was on point and prefect for light meal. Impressed with the game selection. And the retail part was well stocked. 5/5 only because I can't give more stars!! Absolutely recommend!!
