Service good and friendly. Food. ... Well... Nope. I never had the WORST fish and chips! The batter was white and cutting threw was another story. Fries double dipped in deep fryer and still soggy and cold... Who charges 1.25 for a small extra tarter sauce? Was that suppose to go with my half of a teaspoon of red old coleslaw? I have ordered fish and chips here many times and brought some one with me to eat at the barrel. . how embarrassing. The only reason I didn't say anything was because we were in a hurry to get back somewhere important. My husband (his first time being at the barrel) was disappointed... But did like the flavor of his meat patty ( he ordered a burger with ceaser salad) for the extra chunk of change for the salad... So not worth it. Epic fail you guys...

Great time! Went there on a Christmas Day, it was busy but a good kind of busy. Staff was very attentive and chatty! Amazing place to go to with your friends to play some pool and have some beers! Highly recommend

Quiet friendly local pub in newton. The food here is nice with some interesting dishes like fried pickles. Live music on the weekends is common place and a great open microphone night on Fridays makes for a fun time all the time.

Was shocked that they close so early. They did a last call at 11 and forced everyone out. The bar was busy too. It was bizarre. Then, on a Saturday night we show up at 10 pm in a cab and the place is all closed up for the night. Also, the kitchen wasn't even open one time we made it before they closed. It is close to home but we will gladly walk further for a place that is actually open consistently.

A nice, quiet neighbourhood pub to drop in and have lunch. Prices are reasonable and what I like, is that they carry Prohibition 0% alcohol beer. I don't drink so I enjoy it when places carry non-alcoholic beverages besides pop and coffee.

One of the better place is I found in Surrey to get a drink or a beer. They have life music karaoke and also drink specials and I believe happy hour.
