My husband and I usually eat vegetarian, but since I became pregnant, I’ve been wanting to eat more meat. The staff at Taqwa are always so patient with me as I put in my order and ask many questions. I also really love their selection of products. It used to be very challenging to find good cuts of halal steak in Surrey, but now that’s not an issue! They will also portion out your order for easy freezing at an additional 10 cents a portion! That’s super helpful now that I’m close to having my baby. Lastly, I’d like to mention how amazing they are about COVID safety. It’s really important to me that not only are people wearing masks, but also distancing. The staff at the counter have consistently asked newly entered customers to keep their distance when they see I won’t get closer to the cashier (it’s a very small shop). It’s the small things like this that make me feel so good about shopping here!!

Customer service work very fast, they know what they are doing, and only allow 2 customers at a time which is good during this covid time. Masks are also mandatory
Shop has been abruptly CLOSED down without notice. It is empty and locked. I called the other location and they said it is closed due to lease issues and they are working on acquiring new place close by in couple of weeks. I am disappointed by the fact that they didn't give heads-up to the customers as lease matters are not abrupt, you get sort it out months before if your lease renewal is in place or not.
Best butcher shop ever, love the premium quality meats offered!! We would love to see you carry some dry aged beef and possibly wagyu if available
Great meat shop that is well organized and most importantly sanitary. The staff are great and professional, specifically Mahwish jani whose an absolute sweetheart. Prices were fair with a variety of cuts of meat and is overall well stocked.

Clean and well stocked. Staff are very kind, knowledgeable and professional. Prices were amazing, with a variety of cuts of meat both fresh and frozen, as well as a well-stocked, non-perishable selection of everything from treats to side dishes suitable for all.
