Absolutely fabulous. Great food quality, appropriately priced for high quality grade of fish. I would recommend this place for anyone who appreciates good quality sushi. We came close to their closing hour but did not feel rushed or pressured to hurry. Really great staff!

The sashimi was very fresh and the pressed sushi was a highlight. The service was friendly and the server was able to answer my questions on the pressed sushi and was attentive and constantly refilling our teas! It’s a cute atmosphere and worth a visit!

Best sushi I've found in the lower mainland. Quality over quantity. Small space limited seating and menu due to covid. They are currently only doing takeout for lunch but seating is available for dinner.

Edit 20190804 How quickly things change. As a regular customer who has visited this restaurant multiple times, my sushi was always served without wasahi, something I am allergic to. To my surprise, all sushi served to me today came mixed in with wasabi. I tell them about my allergy and how all sushi was never served before with wasabi mixed inside the many times I've been there before. They then proceeded to remake all the sushi for me, but charging me AGAIN for it. Essentially I got charged double, with them blaming me for not telling them "my preference", even tho from my very first visit until now, (with my previous 5 star rating to them), the sushi was never served with wasabi mixed in. I paid the bill, didn't bother arguing, didn't make a scene, no tip, and will NEVER ever give them any business ever again. ------------------------------------------ A very authentic Japanese sushi restaurant with excellent hot dishes as well. Pricey but not overly expensive. Clean cozy atmosphere. Excellent location abundant parking. Service is good although our server didn't speak the best of English so be patient. Every single dish we ordered was above expectation. Highly recommended!

Such a lovely little place. The service is nice, quick and very patient. The food was wonderful and very well presented. I think the only draw back to this restaurant is it is a little more pricey than most of the other sushi places I go to, but the food is worth it. I had Tuna Tataki, Agadashi Tofu and mixed tempura. I loved the tempura because they had mushrooms and green beans as well as the usual shrimp and yam. I wish I took a pic of the Tuna Tataki, it was beautiful. If you are looking for a sushi place to eat and do not mind spending a bit more than usual, I suggest Hanako Japanese Restaurant.
