Today was going to be my 55 donation but as it turns out my temperature was too high. I believe it was 97.6. I had just finished a coffee so it boosted my mouth temperature.i guess you only get one chance at this before you are rejected. Over my 30 years of donating it's usually been a good experience, however, I feel the criteria for donating quite frustrating. Many times I have left work or meetings to donate just to be refused due to low iron, temperature, or travel to the Caribbean. CBS has some great staff, very professional and appreciative. There volunteers are always helpful, polite, and knowledgeable. This will be my last time donating. I feel sad since it always have me a good feeling to help others. I do hope they make it easier for donors. I know why they screen to the depths that they do but my time is also valuable. There are so many people requiring your blood so please help CBS with a donation. Steve Evans

It’s my fifth time to donate blood but it’s my first time to donate here in Surrey (Canada). I have a good time and experience here. All the staff are professionally nice and friendly. And I’m lucky that Patricia (Kabayan Filipina) who take my blood. Many thanks for good service specially to Patricia. Donated for the very 1st time today and as I waited for my turn a few donors were having issues (nausea and light headedness) but the staff was super attentive and caring. They were supportive and kind to those donors withpit neglecting the other donors or even me, who was just waiting my turn. They were very reassuring that my donation would be a positive experience, and it was.
Great place to donate blood and very friendly staff. I showed up the appointment time and never had to wait. If you planning to donate blood and you live in Surrey then this is the best place. Donate blood and save lives.
Had to update my rating from five stars to one after my second visit on Nov 20, 2020. The lady who was taking my blood has done a really sloppy job poking my vein, which caused a bruise. As a result, she was able to take only half of the required blood amount, which eventually went to waste and the donation was not counted. This is highly disappointing and discouraging. I am definitely not coming back to this place if I'll ever consider donating again.
