We had Jess as an instructor, and she was absolutely fantastic. I went with my two teenage boys, and she had them up on their feet on the boards pretty quickly. I spent all of about 2-and-a-half seconds on my feet, but that’s because I’m the most inflexible man in the world. I still had a great time. Jess was an excellent teacher and kept us all engaged the whole time.

Thanks for the lesson in late December! Staff was super nice. It was a fun morning in the rain. We were surprised at how warm we were in the wetsuits. I think the wetsuit restricted my body movements and the cold ocean must have been slowing my brain signals to my legs. I was a radical disappointment. My partner did quite well. I felt like a weak, tired, winter jellyfish. I’ll probably stick to surfing in the summer months, without the full body wetsuit onesie. I’d also like to give 5-stars to the hot shower I took afterwards.
This was one of the best experiences in the WHOLE WORLD! I had the most amazing instructor, Vickie. I hope I spelled her name right. I've always been a bit fearful of the ocean but she gave me lots of patience and time to take surfing at my own pace. I felt seen and supported. The instructors definitely know their stuff and I'm super happy we invested in lessons from Surf Sisters! Much love from me and my boyfriend, Seth - excellent company, priceless memories.

What a fantastic surf school! Our son enjoyed learning how to surf at stunning Cox Beach, with Carly from Surf Sister. She was patient and really knew how to teach the variety of ages in the group of 5. Our son was catching waves within a few minutes, and he had so much fun for the entire 3 hour lesson. Carly was very diligent with safety in the water- I felt comfortable letting my son go off with her while I relaxed on the beach. What a perfect way to spend the afternoon in Tofino!
