A truly unique way to see the west side of Prince Albert National Park. Had an extraordinary experience watching the northern lights on my overnight stay. Once in a lifetime kind of trip - I'd recommend to anyone!

My boyfriend and I visited the ranch recently and had an INCREDIBLE time! Toni and Trevor were our hosts and they were both so friendly and welcoming! Toni was our guide for an afternoon ride and was so calm and patient with us as we are both beginner riders. We had such a great time and although it was cold we were able to see some beautiful sights! We stayed for the night and had a very comfortable stay. We will definitely be back and tell all our friends about the ranch!
My kids and I visit Sturgeon River Ranch every year. It’s one of the highlights of their Summer. The horses are friendly and easy to ride, the views are picturesque, the staff are incredible and the accommodations are homey and clean with views of the horses right from your bedroom window at times! I’ll never forget the first time I heard the thunderous sound of the happy horses running in the field together as we sat by the campfire. What a magical place!
We came out for a winter ride. It was a lot of fun going for an adventure through the snow covered trees. The horses were very friendly and good to meet. Our guide, Mel, was a pleasure to meet and hang out with as well.
We had an absolute blast at Sturgeon River Ranch. Staff was extremely friendly & welcoming. Horses were extremely friendly as well. The ride was absolutely beautiful, meals were delicious & in plenty. John was a great guide, he is very knowledgable about the outdoors & taught us a lot about certain plants & animals. He is also quite funny & always cracking jokes. Definitely will be booking another trip!
Absolutely incredible experience! I plan to incorporate at least one trail ride for my family every year. It’s hard to find such a wholesome activity that’s hosted by fun, experienced guides such as the staff at Sturgeon River Ranch. I would recommend to everyone hands down time and time again!
Thank you John and Carley for your hospitality! And thank you Luke for being a great guide on the trails! This is my third or fourth time coming up for a weekend and I will definitely be coming back next summer. The scenery is beautiful, the horses are well behaved and suitable for any level of rider, and the evenings are always a great time - whether it's board games inside or sitting around the fire. If you ever get the opportunity to come up to Sturgeon River Ranch, you will not be disappointed!
