The Elgin Military Museum is an easy museum to miss as it is tucked away, but it is well worth the visit. The number of artifacts is astonishing for a city that of St. Thomas’s size. The museum also has an extensive archive of military records which the public can view.

great little museum with more than you would think inside. a well stocked set of real ( inoperable) guns from both sides of the wars. models of boats and pieces from planes and submarines. nice remake of a trench and a nuclear bunker. medal room has many medals from many soldiers and not far from the Jumbo statue or the train bridge park .

If you live in or around Elgin county or just passing through, this is a must visit!! Perfect destination for a day trip with the family. Warm inviting and knowledgeable staff. Great to visit around remembrance day.
