I am shocked to learn that surgeons are being denied access to O.R's to perform surgeries. My mother saw her eye specialist today, and he told her he would gladly work on the weekend or evenings to ensure his patients were taken care of, but the chief of surgery was denying access to the Operating Room.. She was told she could have up to a 2 year wait to have her procedure done. I wonder how long the chief of surgery would have to wait if they were the one needing the surgery. I think that fact that doctors are willing to work weekends and evenings to take care of their patients is admirable, it's the big wigs who make it impossible for them to do it. Maybe its' time for a new big wig.

If you do not have any serious illness, don’t come here. Finding a clinic is better than staying in emergency waiting room for 8 more hours.
New to Newfoundland from Ontatio, I wasnt dure what to expect. I don't currently have a family doctor so a trip to Emerg was in order. Its was the fastest ER visit I have ever experienced. The staff and nurses were so kind, and I only paid 50c in parking. If I were in Ontario that would have easily been a 6 hour wait. Thank you for your help!
Health Care facilities all that you need done at one spot
Well Rite now it’s freezing here(lol) I’m tired But other then that, It’s a Hospital what can I say? Boring waiting obviously, Atleast it’s not full with people waiting, Although it’s still a wait..... It’s clean & that it should be! Especially with this COVID!! I hate hospitals anyhow \u200d️ Not many I’m sure do “ like “ hospitals
I have had both good and bad experiences at the emergency room here but after an incident earlier this month I will never come to this emergency room again. I am epileptic and was there for that reason. I had a seizure in front of the doctor and she dismissed me...because I didn't lose consciousness and it didn't matter that she witnessed me have one. I explained my seizures to her and she said that's too bad and oh no in a tone that said she didn't care and wasn't listening; this was proven true when she said there was nothing they could do, then asked me what they should do. I made suggestions, including contacting my neurologist (that works in this hospital too), who I find difficult to speak to due to some personal issues with his receptionist - it appears that if the receptionist has a personal problem with you, not related to work, you can forget about your messages or requests for the neurologist to contact you since they don't get passed along. The doctor would not send a request for the neurologist to contact me (emergency room doctors would send requests to the neurologist in the past and I would be contacted) nor would she do anything at all. I am furious that this happened. I even told someone that also works in health care (but not at a hospital). That person said that the way that I was treated by the doctor was horrible, especially after she witnessed me have a seizure so she knew I wasn't making it up. But, thanks to that experience, I will never use the emergency room at this hospital again. I left feeling worse than I felt before I went there. That should never happen, especially when you seek medical treatment. But maybe that's supposed to happen here, according to the reviews and stories I heard and read. Either way, it's shameful.
The staff at the triage desk was very disrespectful completely ignorant after hours on phone with multiple health organization i was told to come here to get the help i need and now i believe yet again i wasted my time because the level of incompetence is ridiculous for someone who's s in need of medical assistance im brushed off due to my appearance and being treated in an ill manner due to way i dress
It's a hospital, how good is it gonna be?
