The Upper Deck was a great choice for a last minute dinner with friends. We opted for dining inside since the weather wasn't great, but will for sure be back to sit on the patio overlooking the river. We tried out a few different items, from burgers to steak. Personally, I tried the Jalapaño Popper Burger with jalapeño dip on it. This was such a great choice and so full of flavour. I had it with yam fries and couldn't stop eating them. They clearly know how to season in the kitchen! Our hostess was incredibly kind both in demeanour and in serving us. She ensured we had enough food, water, and drinks. She made sure to check in with us and was able to answer any questions about the menu. Can't wait to go back and try out the patio!

Food is excellent but inconsistent. I ordered crab cakes three times in the span of a few weeks (they are delicious), on the 2nd time the portion was smaller, and on the 3rd time there was the amount of coleslaw usually reserved for one crab cake and pretty much zero mango topping or sauce. Don’t know if they’re trying to save money due to covid but it’s pretty disappointing.
Been meaning to try The Upper Deck but never did until now. Ordered fish tacos, they were good, nice presentation, could be on a bigger plate as they are messy. I requested guacamole on the side, but would ordinarily have come with it on. My fellow diner had fish & chips, good sized portion. Server was attentive and made some menu suggestions when I asked, thank you. Food came out very fast!!
They have extended their patio into the parking lot. Our table was not cleaned. It had food crumbs on it. We told our server and was wiped down immediately. We ordered wings with bbq sauce, a reuben sandwich, a steak sandwich and a Santa Fa salad. The wings and the reuben sandwich were delicious. Salad was not bad. The steak in the sandwich was tough. Avoid that. Service was quick.
Great place, nice and spacious with outdoor options. Portions are worth the price and every member of staff was polite and friendly! It was just oddly quiet for a Sunday dinner rush.
