I've been taking karate classes from Sensei Craig for a few years now and I really enjoy his classes and his teaching style. I've been to other karate schools, but none of them compare to this one. I highly recommend St. Catharines Karate School!

I've been training there for about a year and a half, and I still am consistently. Great place if you would really like to defend your self and feel comfortable about who you are as a person. If you would like to become extremely healthy this is for you!. 5 Stars instantly, with no hesitation.

I'm 10 and have been going to karate since I was 3 and it has been helpful and fun too. I love karate so much and I love helping the younger belts.

Beware! I paid for 3 months of \training\ from Craig Sumbler. About 180.00 plus a Gi, which was 40.00. We were able to attend only 4 classes before my son became very ill and would not be able to attend more classes for quite awhile. But the main reason was that I realized his classes were a glorified daycare. The kids were goofing off most of the time, playing with each other and not paying any attention. Not much to learn. Craig handed out 'belts' due to time being spent there, instead of being earned. His 15 year old was teaching the classes as Craig just hid in the other room after he ran out for his 'Timmies' during every class we attended. After I realized we were not going back to this mess of a karate class, I called Craig. I got his voicemail. So I left it for a couple of days and called again, then again. 4 times in total within a period of 3 weeks to let him know our situation with his classes. Not once! did he have the decency to return even one of my calls. The last time he answered his cell himself, pretending to be someone else saying that Craig is dealing with an emergency and would definitely return my call this time. O.k.then, I thought. He could have me called back and at least explained he would not return the money for the classes about to be missed, or the Gi which my son never got to wear. Take your children to a real Karate School and skip this Mickey Mouse of a set up. I would have taken my son to a better one but couldn't after this stunt, seeing as my funds were gone.

I went to his karate school from 2000 till 2007 and then again from 2011 till 2014. Craig Sumbler taught me how to defend myself in ways that no one else ever did, such as breaking free whenever someone would try to pull my arms. That's why he is the reason why I know how to defend myself. Until I started lessons with him I could hardly defend myself.
