This is a surprisingly inexpensive location a stone’s throw from the beaches of Penticton...and when I mean Stone’s throw, I mean using my underpowered near atrophic hand. It’s literally across the street. Sure, the rooms aren’t special, but it’s not like I need them to be. Yes, there are few places in Penticton that are cheaper, but given the proximity to water and the amazing central location along the beach strip, Spanish Villa is an astoundingly good deal, so much so that we stayed there again on our second trip in 2017. Our rooms were mirror identical. Our only minor quibble is that being one of the central locations of Okanagan wine country I was surprised at the lack of a full-sized refrigerator. I know, minor; I didn’t even thing we would need one until we start picking up boxes of bottles from our journey. As a result, we were cramming bottles where we could to keep them cool, including piling them on top of the AC unit with others jammed into every inch in the bar fridge. On our second trip, our room suffered from an archaic AC unit in contrast to the newer one our friends enjoyed three doors down. As a result, it needed to be off during the night, and by morning, was intolerably warm given the 30 degree weather outside. Yeah, Climate Change is a thing; if you disagree, come to Penticton, which in 2017 has completely lost their beach. And it was hot, like walking around making your own gravy hot. Moving on. So yeah, working AC would have been lovely. But for the price and location, we obviously tolerate it given we returned a second time. Our friends liked their room as well with a few caveats. They booked the kitchenette, which lacked some needed utensils and pans. The back of one chair kept falling out as well. But at least their AC unit was modern, right?

To pricey. Everything about this place was old. I brought my own blow dryer and it blew a fuse. There is no ice machine. The beds were comfortable. It did have a full size coffee maker and small fridge and it was directly across the street from the beach. There is an indoor pool but never used it so not sure what condition it is in.

Rooms are full of space, high ceilings, and the air conditioning awesome. The location is awesome of course! The only thing was the shower pressure is weak. But all in all it still provides that awesome well needed beach side vacation.

Staff were unfriendly and unprofessional, no updates of their check in time and damage deposit on their sites. There was NO soaps to wash hands in any of the rooms we stay in. Will never stay here again nor recommend to anyone.

My lower level Room was very noisy from the old ac units above, had to sleep on the sofa as the noise was unbearable. Last time I stay there.
