I recently have visited the Spanish River Resort and Campground a few times. The campground is well kept, cozy and the setup allows you to have a very nature feeling when camping. The owner is helpful, friendly and pretty funny. The view is unbelievable and the mornings are gorgeous! I highly recommend staying here. On top of the beautiful location and natural setup, they are also close to many amenities! You won't be disappointed!

We had a great experince at this campground! We had some truck troubles (truck batteries overheating) and had to find somewhere to stop and the owner was able to fit us in for the night. The owner was very kind and helpful, he came and helped the hubby look things over and make sure we were set to be on our way the next day! The view was amazing, lots of fishing on a nice big river! All other campers were super friendly and stopped in to talk with us! Definitely a hidden gem, worth checking out if you like fishing or want nice water front views, swimming or just taking a boat up the river! 10/10!

We stayed a week with three trailers worth of extended family. Nice quiet spot with a centrally located playground. Groceries etc. a short bike or car ride away. Intermediate/advanced kiteboarders can ride right out front of the marina. The launch is narrow and not particularly beginner friendly, but the owner offers lessons and boat support as needed. When there isn't enough wind for kiting, you can fish right off of the dock (or rent a boat if you are more serious). Tons of small catfish/sunfish/rock bass around the dock (kids loved it), but I also saw someone land a 10lb bowfin from weeds near the shore.

We spent a week here glamping in our trailer with our in-laws and it was great! The kids had a fantastic time swimming, fishing, and playing in the playground. We took daily bike rides along the quiet roads to the town of Spanish and to the marina. The owner is very friendly and took us out boating to one of the small nearby islands. There is no sewer hook-up, but our trailer lasted the week without dumping, so that made life easy!
