I asked the lady at the front how much the buffet was.....14.95....that is like 3.00 too much. I asked her the price for a child of 3 yrs old.....5.95...if she did not waste any food. Nothing like trying to get rich fast. We went elsewhere- for a buffet of 12.95, and the price for a child was free. We will never go to South Szechuan Pak Lok House.

I have never been so sick from food in my life. A friend of mine came over and ordered lunch from here dinner for four. It was typical bland American Chinese. I nibbled at it and was fine we packed up lunch and i put it in the fridge. The next day I brought the chicken chow mien to work for lunch. Half an hour later i was vomiting violently and had to leave work. I vomited for twelve hours straight and couldn't get out of bed. Then the Diarrhea. My sternum was in incredible pain as i expelled everything I put into my stomach. I missed the next day of work. I didn't have the energy to get out of bed. Shakes and Fever dreams. I am only now able to write this review. Be warned this was no joke. The elderly or children could have been hospitalized. They call my stomach the pit of iron. Pak Lok you brought me to my knees. If i can persuade one person to look else where i have done my Duty Be care full!!!!
I love this place. The owner always treats his guests with such courtesy and honour. Great hospitality. The lunch buffet is a good price for the quality of food that is offered. All the food is scratch-made, not reheated frozen fare. The restaurant itself is due for a facelift, getting a bit run down- but maybe that's part of the charm. This is a classic Canadian chinese pig-out joint. EDIT: Sadly, this place has permanently closed...
