Stay away! If you are looking for sound advice do not go here. I came in looking for a quote to get a basic new stereo for my car, the guy said that the year of my car is a hard installation that would take 2 hours, at 100 an hour, and the sound system would be 130, then gave me a quote of 430 before tax! Where did that extra 100 come from?? 100 fee for servicing women's cars perhaps? I drove down the street to Ralph's and they gave me a quote of 270, as it is an easy installation. It seems to me that Sound Advice is not looking out for their customers best interest. Go to Ralphs instead if you are looking for an honest and trustworthy business.

It's pretty rare to see a shop that not only gives you great advice (dare I say \sound advice\) but also will push you to do things yourself. Most places would be only too happy to try to book you in and charge labor. Mark has always helped with my various projects over the years. Sure you could probably pay 70% of the price for parts on Amazon, but you'll have to wait for delivery and I promise you won't get the same customer service or access to the massive amount of knowledge the team at Sound Advice has regarding car audio and electronics. Being able to drive down the street and grab some parts and tips for your project is invaluable and worth more than a saving a few bucks. A few pics of the messy initial wiring of my current job, note this is my work in an unfinished state, it looks ugly.

I have been to Sound Advice numerous times for everything (installation, parts and advice) and I have always had a fantastic experience. Mark, one of the employees, is so knowledgeable, he recently sold me some speakers and a deck and they sound amazing. They will not try to upsell you, but will gladly educate you on what the best potential purchase is depending on your needs. Thanks guys!

Great service and good prices. I dealt with Mark - he listens and he has 'sound advice'. Needed a new stereo for 1986 VW westy. I told Mark about the issues i had with old speakers and the radio draining the battery. He sorted out those obvious issues, and then he went one further because it needed it, by clearing up the rats nest of too many spliced wires etc between the radio and the speakers. Terrific job, done really quickly and i think the old westy drives better now. Thanks SOUND ADVICE.
