This is the best place ever! The people here are the most passionate people in the world about gliding and soaring. I was able to finish my flight training in just 2 months thanks to the dedicated instructors. I will definitely be a regular at SOSA for the rest of my life. SOSA is such a positive influence in my life. I highly recommend SOSA to everyone.

I've wanted to fly in a glider for a few years. This year, my husband gave me an intro experience for my birthday. I went on a Monday and had a wonderful time. This club is run by volunteers, so the vibe is chill and casual. Chris and Emile made it an informative and thoroughly entertaining experience, super friendly guys. My first flight was as I expected, so graceful, peaceful, floating in the air like a bird. Great take-off and landing at the hands of Chris, who even let me fly for a bit! 30 minutes of bliss in the sky, an escape from the world below - no engine, no vibrations, just the sound of wind through the vent. It only made me want to do more. I came away feeling so zen and relaxed....yeah, I'll be coming back, but I'm gonna learn how to fly this thing next time.

This is a gem. The experience was incredible and memorable. Andy is such a kind and friendly intro flight instructor. He made the experience worth the trip. The place is very serene and homey. I'm happy to have spent my birthday here.

Big sense of community in this club. I was invited by a member and was very welcomed. Everyone pitches in for maintaining the grounds and equipment. Made for a very great day.

In a time of uncertainty and great boredom, the COVID-19 pandemic. The SOSA gliding club gave me and many of my fellow students a challenge to become the best pilots we can be through SOSA's student program. The club taught me how to fly and now I'm hooked. I attend SOSA almost every week to keep my currency up and to have fun doing so. The club is filled with well experienced instructors and regular members, anyone who joins SOSA as a student will not have trouble learning with this set of people around. I would strongly recommend the SOSA gliding club to anyone whos interested in learning something new, and having the time of their lives doing so.

Had a bit of a wait since there was a shortage of "intro" pilots and since I didn't pre-book the flight. Just showed up on a holiday. That being said, everyone was awesome. Jeff (glider pilot) did some cool stuff with the glider, including 0g. Was a bit more expensive because it was the weekend but had an awesome experience.

You will probably wait 4-5 hours for an Intro flight. Weekends do not run as advertised they are very much only concerned with members and their flights. They're is only *one* glider for intros and at times it was used for members. We were 3rd in line and waited 5 hours before the glider was even available. I paid 200 dollars to waste a Sunday waiting outside. If you want the experience I suggest finding another service. The members are all very nice, it is just a shame it is so disorganized.
