What an amazing experience! I realized my dream to see orcas and in the best conditions possible. I had a very good contact with Sarah first and then on the boat I was very happy to be in a small group. Mike was knowledgeable and passionate about wildlife and photography, it was a big thing for me. He went out of his way to make us happy and we got lucky enough to see a humpback whale and orcas. Thanks guys!

We had a truly unique experience Whale Watching with Captain Mike. There were no expeditions going out to the strait because of poor visibility brought on my smoke. However, Captain Mike took us out because our visitors from Ontario were going home the next day. We enjoyed the most comfortable whale watching boat ever! Even though the visibility prevented us from observing whales, we still saw dolphins, seals and hundreds of sea lions, all the while enjoying the natural beauty of the BC waters. It was the highlight of the trip for our Ontario visitors. Great memory! Thanks for accommodating us Mike!

My father and I had a great experience with the whale watching. The staff was very helpful and passionate about what they do, they have highly ethical practises about where they go/ how close to certain animals. They value the well-being of wildlife and their guests. Great views of the different whales, it was beautiful! I also like that they take really great pictures for you and encourage you to live in the moment and not go on your phone. They don’t talk too much on the ride to let you experience the nature, but give interesting facts about the area and different species. Will definitely go back!

Recent trip with Mike was out third with Adventures by HIP (2 in 2019, 1 this year). Professionalism and passion are two words I would use to describe this company. Unbelievable and repeatable are two words I would use to describe out 3 encounters on the water. We have had 12-73 year olds in our party for these outings - not a single member of our party was left wanting. Please note the photos/video I am posting are from 3 trips - we got very lucky with some expert guiding from Mike!!

Great Trip!! Mike and Sara are as good as it gets. Mike was knowledgeable and seemed to really care and respect the environment we were lucky enough to visit. We felt safe the entire time and Mike looks after things on a very personal level. Cant say enough good stuff. Very fair price too. We would definitely go again with Mike and Sara!
