I often provide financing to assist our clients take care of judgements, lawsuits, and stopping power of sales. I hope that these main pointers can be useful to others: -Be prepared to pay for on-site parking, that is often very busy. It makes sense to Uber or be dropped off - you do not want to be late for an appearance. -Expect to spend upwards of hours longer than you planned - there's no telling how long your process will take depending on the flow of traffic. -Do not expect to receive assistance, guidance, or help from court-staff - they will provide you with generic statements or refer you to legal aid. -Always obtain a professional opinion with respect to your situation.

Let's be real that any court house isn't usually pleasant to go to. The staff that I've dealt with, while not the most friendly, were professional and provided good information or recommendations. I can understand why, this is not a coffee shop after all. It's on the 3rd floor and as you exit the elevator banks, you hang a left to ask the person t the information counter if they can take care of your reason for being there or not. If not, the person will give you a number and you'll need to wait for your turn to go in to a booth and speak with staff inside. Submitting the usual like a claim form, defence form, affidavits, photocopies, usually the person at the info counter can stamped those as received and you're on your way. I think it would help everyone if the online filing system is improved. While you can file a claim online, serving defendants, filing affidavits, etc are still all done in person and as such are very manual in nature. If we can carry out financial matters online then for small claims, hopefully they can do the same thing.

Waited for 2 hours only to be told they are closing and won't be accepting anyone.

I tried to call for information but no one answers. Decided to drive there, hours of operation are wrong. Apparently they have a few hours lunch break. Wasted my time, fuel and parking ticket.

Tried to upload small claims documents to file online. Half of them didn't go through and you can't review what has been submitted. So after a few conversations with the small claims clerks and supervisor, I mailed the documents in. Still waiting three weeks later to see if I get the copies back so I can serve them. Spoke again with the supervisor wilho said she'd have the clerk call me. Waited all afternoon and no call. This is ridiculous.
