We did a radon test in our home for 90 days and it came back from the lab with levels of over 300 Bq/m3. We contacted Simon through a list of contractors on the government website. Simon provided a free estimate and great explanations on how they would proceed with lowering our levels. They sealed a sump hole and installed a mitigation fan thing. The work took one full day and we had the basement retested following their work and the levels dropped significantly to an average of 14 Bq/m3. This work was done during the pandemic and they followed all public health recommendations and were masked at all times in my house. I would recommend this company.

Very happy with the radon mitigation system installed in my basement by Mike and Mark. They were also able to use my old unused furnace/hot water heater flue to vent out the radon out the top of my chimney. So no exterior piping was required on the outside of the house. Within two days after the installation, the radon measurement readings in my basement went from 250 bq/m3 down to 8 bq/m3!
The owner, Mark Simon, came to our house himself to collect a sample for asbestos testing. He then suggested we test for radon as well, something we had never considered before. After looking it up, we realized it was something important that all home owners should do. We are truly grateful for this impeccable and conscientious service.
After reading numerous articles about Radon, we decided to test our basement. We live in Kanata and were aware of elevated levels in this part of town. Our readings over the course of 3 months averaged mid 200s so we decided to have Simon Air Quality install a vent in our basement. Within the first week our levels dropped dramatically. We have not had a reading over 7(!) since installation. We are so pleased with the results and their service leading up to the installation as well as the day of. Thank you again for providing us with piece of mind knowing that our house is virtually free of this dangerous gas.
