Our server Kristen was unfriendly, snarky, and made for an unpleasant experience. We were the only ones in the restaurant, probably for a reason. The food was good but they had a huge issue with us wanting to share the 2 piece fish and chip meal and said we had to pay an \extra plate charge\ even though we said we would share the plate. They ended up not charging us the fee so we left confused at why such a big deal was made. We would not return based on how we were treated by the server. We felt like a nuisance, I suppose we did interupt her picking dead leaves off the plants.

I had the special which was the halibut and it was good. Everything was good but the service was slow. There was only 3 of us and it took 2 hours to get drinks and our meals.

Perhaps we all have to adjust our standards when eating out in this era of social distancing and CV protocols. Not so at the Sea Glass Waterfront Grill - this would be an outstanding restaurant anytime, anyplace. We hail from NY and have eaten at our fair share of Michelin star restaurants; Sea Glass’ food stands tall with many of those superb experiences. Our voracious family of 5 tried pretty much everything on the dinner menu and the food was evenly excellent from appetizer to desserts. The deconstructed spring rolls, maple-pecan brie, portobello mushrooms, short-ribs, duck breast and lamb shank were of particular note. Our server (Kristen?) was friendly, responsive and gave great advice when confronted with so many competing food choices. We were very grateful to see that Sea Glass follows CV-prevention best practices: all the servers wore masks, the tables were respectfully far apart from each other, there was directional traffic flow and they had opened doors to allow fresh air circulation. This is in stark contrast to the Sidney restaurant we ate at the following night (no masks, no social distancing, packed to the gills) that alarmingly reported an infected server worked the same day we visited... thanks, rhymes-with-Ben-Bakers! All in all, our dinner at Sea Glass was a big highlight of our visit to Sidney and we will gladly eat here when we’re in the area again!

This place is phenomenal. Sitting by an ocean front window with amazing food never goes wrong. You really can't go wrong with this place, the cocktails are quite good as well!

We should have had a reservation but they still managed to squeeze us in, which was much appreciated. Portobello mushroom appetizer was fantastic, would work as a small meal in and of itself. We then had the hazelnut encrusted chicken and the halibut which were very good. The mashed potatoes were particularly delicious. Awesome view awesome service.
