I’ve been a customer there for a couple years now and haven’t had an issue until today. I need an eye exam so I can get more contacts as my prescription is 1.5 years old..... I’m an essential work who works 7 days in and 7 days home off Vancouver island. They are telling me their policy is not to allow anyone in the store that has been off the island in the last 14 days. I asked how I am supposed to get new contacts as this is what I wear and they said I will have to wait until Covid is over????? Because of my shift I would never be home for 14 days straight! Ok I understand that we all have to be careful but for an essential worker to be told he cannot see his doctor because he works away.... and that he will have to wait until the pandemic is over is absolutely crazy to me. I will find an optometrist that is more understanding and accommodating going forward.

As a new customer, I received very good care from Dr. Yee, Ashley and Yong. Peninsula Lifetime Eye Care has modern equipment and the latest technology. Where they fell down was in charging 35% more for an eye exam than I was used to, with comparable service and technology. As well, the fitting process was not done well, until the third attempt when I was paired with Yong. I'm not used to a huge office with so much staff and more or less just being another body, in and out the door. But, that's just me.

I have been going here for 30 years. Optometrists have all been very professional, thorough and caring. I feel confident that they are looking after my eye health. Front end staff are all wonderful, in particular Meghan L who goes above and beyond to make sure you have the right glasses and are happy. Extremely patient with myself and hubby. A delightful young woman. Highly recommend this place and all their staff.

Kudos to her professionalism: when she called to rebook my appointment, instead of feeling chagrined at the change she presented options and made it work. I was impressed with her ability to seamlessly create a workable solution for me. It’s a rare trait these days. Then I meet her again after my appointment the following week and she was exceptional at assisting me in navigating the insurance end of things. Again kudos to Denise H.
