What an incredible place! I got to stay here with a bunch of people I met on a greyhound a few years back. Lloyd and his wife were so welcoming and friendly. Such a warm and lovely place and the most beautiful nature surrounding this hostel. Its a bit hard to reach without a car but the greyhound people know about this place and will organize a drop off. Its worth a visit!

Small place with welcoming, friendly crew. Had a great night and some great chats with the owner when I stayed here in the spring.
I just returned home from a week-long vacation. 5 nights of this vacation I spent in this hostel. There is not a doubt I was incredibly impressed with the owner and staff. They go the extra mile to ensure your stay is a pleasant one. The price is fabulous and they supply the bedding. It is peaceful and without a doubt, a place I will return to if back in Thunder Bay/Shuniah.
THE MOST ADORABLE KINDLY MAN WITH VERY NICE ACCOMMODATIONS. NO BED BUGS. HE DOES NOT HOARD. NOTHING BUT KINDNESS HERE. SO VERY LUCKY TO HAVE FOUND THIS WONDERFUL HOSTEL AND LOVELY HUMAN BEING. THANK YOU LLOYD.
I've stayed here 2 times with my girlfriend and 2 dogs and loved it. The hosts are very friendly and go out of their way to make it cozy for their guests. Not to mention they have an excellent movie collection! Very affordable aswell. An awesome gem along the highway! Will definitely stay here next time we are in Thunder Bay!
I spent in this place 5 nights. This hostel has wonderful atmosphere, really clean, for 25 dollars I had separate a room with big a bed. Hostel is very quiet, to the nearest shops and restaurant is around 4 km (east side). I can recommend it for every people.
First rate room, atmosphere and hospitality. Very cheap for a private room. I was treated very well by the staff, and intend to visit again any time I'm in Thunder Bay.
They have a brutal bed bug infestation. After staying a few nights I noticed some bites but had no idea what they were as I've never encountered bed bugs before in my life. The night before I was scheduled to leave a long term tenant came to me and told me about the bugs and to be careful not to bring them with me when I go. To validate what he told me I began to look around and found bugs in my room and powdered pesticides all over the building. Do NOT stay there!
