Horrible. I have never experienced such awful customer service. They don’t even deserve 1 star.

My teenaged daughter had gone to NOTL SDM on her own, and had purchased quite a few items on a 20 times the points promotion weekend. Unfortunately, the machine simply would not accept the family’s PC MasterCard, which is combined with the Optimum program. She ended up using her debit card, which meant no points were collected. As per advice from PC, I went back, returned the items, then purchased them again. This time I brought with me my actual Optimum card, just in case the machine was still acting finicky. The salesperson was very friendly and accommodating. Unfortunately, there were a few hiccups (not the salesperson’s fault at all). She called her manager. The manager was fantastic, handling the glitches, me, and the other customers with a calm and friendly efficiency like I have rarely seen. She was a true “service” person. She never for one second seemed annoyed or flustered. Please, SDM—-give this manager a raise, a bonus, or at least a bouquet of flowers!! I was absolutely gobsmacked at this fantastic client service!! Thank you, lovely people!

Been here a few times, and unfortunately I have to agree with the review below. The cashiers are rude to certain people- it's 2018! Everyone is equal. I would see the cashiers smile, greet, and be so welcoming to certain people, and when it came down to other people- just the complete opposite. I come to Niagara on the Lake every summer and I notice certain things at this store. But I can't stay quiet any longer after I encountered this. I was in line the other day, behind a beautiful young girl. And the cashier just blankly stared at her, no greeting, no smile, unwelcoming- it was rude to see that the cashier act this way to her yet was the exact opposite with the customer prior to this girl. And when it was the girl's turn- the young girl was the one who was kind, smiling- she was doing your job for you! I think she sensed the change of attitude and tried to make the best of it. Cashier, it's 2018 going on 2019! It's time to step up your game shoppers drug mart! Maybe teach your staff that it's not OK to select certain people to be welcoming to! Shoppers drug mart, its sad to see that you might have to teach your cashiers on multiculturalism? Overall, it was uncomfortable to see the hypocrisy that happened before my eyes. I hate to think that Niagara on the Lake is behind the times like this cashier. I hope not! It was disturbing to see that happen, and when it was my turn- the cashier was bright and cheerful. Disgusting! Not ok! I sense the girl knew what happened, but was so polite and cheery. SHOPPERS DRUG MART STEP UP YOUR GAME!

They claim to do passport photos. We just left minutes ago & were told they couldn't assist us due to low staffing levels. They advised us to come back tomorrow (Wednesday) morning between 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sure, why not? My gas was free & screw my time. They're your standard Shoppers Drug Mart (and I've been a SDM customer all my life; various locations in Peel Region) but one thing stands out about the staff & their attitudes at this particular location : they're older, seem very tired (physically) & they're very cranky. I hate to write comments like that because it seems discriminatory (age), but the staff at this location was obviously relieved that they didn't have to assist us with our passport photos (you could tell by the looks on the two faces of the female CSR's) . In fact, the CSR whom I spoke to took a deep breath (a sigh of relief) just as another female employee confirmed that they couldn't help us. I guess I shouldn't be too surprised. After all, they are situated in NOTL (Ontario's version of Florida).

Very rude staff: cashiers are dumb and the pharmacist treats you like he has no time for anyone. I went in around Christmas and asked what I can take for a cold while pregnant and he said nothing...glad you paid so much money to go to school to not have answers for patients!! And the store is so small, doesn’t carry very many items and the last time I was in about a month ago they only had 3 items of baby wipes to purchase. They also pile stock in the aisles while stocking and when you try to politely squeeze by the staff looks at you like you’re in her way! Will only go to this shoppers if I need something quick
