We came here on October 31; they’ve closed for the season, so the entrance is free, and only the southern part of the park is open. It’s a huge and beautiful park along lakes. We parked at the St jean des piles section, and hiked the Lac Solitaire (#13) trail. We didn’t expect the snow. The trail was snowy and a bit icy. It’s quite a challenge hike with many up and downs. In one point we thought we were never going to get out of the trail. It says it’s a 5.5km trail, it felt like it’s a 20km trail because of the up and downs. There are many wonderful look outs with mountains and lake views. Very rewarding but too much work for us beginner mid age hikers! The signs along the trail are very clear. It took us 6 hours to hike this trail; we were really taking our time hiking on the snow. Better to do this trail in the summer or early autumn!!

Wish I could go back there again!! The park is enormous, I could go there a thousand times and not get bored. It took me some time to find the right entrance, it's actually quite obvious if you go along the directions and not questioning yourself. There is no signal for cell phones so enjoy the nature!
This national park is amazingly huge and beautiful. Everything is clearly marked. You will never have to worry about getting lost.
One of the big national parks of Canada. With more than 150 lakes. There's are canoeing, hiking, picnic areas, belvederes and more. Everything well signalized and in a clear way. Definitely a marvelous place to camp or just pass one day. The places to swim are also many and wonderful. Entrance fee 16
One of my best national park experience till date! I was stunned when I saw Banff, Alberta. I would say this park is the best in the east! Oh Canada & Oh Quebec.
