There are so many Chinese restaurants along West Broadway. This one has hand-pulled noodles. On July 23, I went there for lunch. I wanted just a plate of vegetables. I saw their lunch specials page. It had Seasonal Vegetables and Tofu for 9.95. It comes with Rice and soup. I also noticed the same item in the dinner menu for 13.95. They said for lunch, it is half vegetables and half rice whereas the 13.95 is fully vegetables. I decided I prefer to pay 13.95 For double the vegetables and forget the rice. On July 25, I went back because the quality of the food was good. This time I ordered (regular menu again) the Beef and Broccoli (14.95) and plain rice (1.50). I still find these Chinese restaurant prices very high compared to Toronto. There is no minimum to use a credit card unlike Shanghai Lu which needed 20 minimum. Shaolin Noodle House is about half the size of Shanghai Lu in the seating area. The seating area has one TV. You can see into the large kitchen via a large window, presumably so you can watch the hand-pulled noodle preparation.

10 years after with two different owners, this place is still one of the best northern Chinese style noodle restaurants. New owner renovated the seating area so it's suitable for family with kids now. Noodle and appetizers are still very indulging. Decent quantity with the cost you paid. Excellent service although it may be too busy during weekend evening. Limited free parking at rear.
Had a few noodle dishes and salt & pepper shrimp which were all delicious.
Uhmmmm what happened to the food quality? Very very disappointing as this place is catering to the western clientele?? My northern curry noodles was so ordinary and it wasn’t cheap either. The cook just dumped a bunch of curry powder over it.. I can get Better At a food court and/or can make it better myself at home . The teriyaki chicken fried rice was just as disappointing as it wasn’t bad but not great...-again mall food court quality. Don’t want to say but should’ve known when walking in there were no Asians customers just a few western people...won’t be back. Too bad.
I like the noodles and dumplings here. Freshly made and very authentic. Very reasonably priced. My go to place whenever I have blade sheared noodles craving.
The cleanliness and hygiene in the restaurant are very poor, although the food is decent. Food: 3/5 Service: 2/5 Value: 3/5 Price: / Atmosphere: 1/5 Waiting time: 2/5

Was feeling sick so I went in to have the nutritious lamb soup with stewed noodles. Broth was rich and not too salty. Noodles had a great texture. The store might need a rebranding though. The combination of northern noodles with bubble tea on offer confused me a little.
