Recently I gave a workshop at Self Connection Books and had a great experience! The room was modern, well equipped with tables and very comfortable chairs. Mike the owner is a tech wizard, he expertly filmed the entire night which included quality audio. Also from their state of the art workshop space, you can live stream events or hire Mike to film the entire evening. All in all, it was a GREAT experience, so much that I am going back to host more workshops at Self Connection Books. Great space, friendly people and high tech, what more could you ask for from a workshop facility?

Self Connection Books has a great space that you can rent for functions such as a workshops and there are lots of extra services you can contract from them to make it a success. We used the space provided to tape an "Internet TV" program and Mike Finch helped us create the studio environment for the filming complete with green screen, several cameras, lighting and even the film editing services. It was a complete package that served our needs really well. There is even the possibility of broadcasting your event live through the internet. I highly recommend that you check out Self Connection books for your next event, especially if you are also looking at creating a video of the experience! Thank you Mike!
Beautiful shop filled with a wide variety of books and absolutely anything you could possibly want for stunning gifts for others or goodies for yourself. Wonderful staff! - and the owners, Mike and Marla, do such a lot for the community, for local authors and for their customers. There is a huge event room where there are always interesting courses, talks, workshops etc. going on and they offer a fantastic videography service too! It's well worth the journey to the NW of the city to check out this lovely store and its many services.
We have rented the workspace at Self Connection Books on three separate occasions and we have been impressed each time. We have had 1 live lecture, 1 video lecture and 1 live stream skype video lecture. Each time Mike and Pat have been very helpful ensuring that the technical aspects were taken care of. The room is a good size, excellent video and audio equipment, a small kitchen and direct access to washrooms.
Such lovely staff and so many amazing book titles that are hard to find elsewhere!
