I went in to order some food as I had heard good things. There was a sign saying "Cash Only" - I didn't have any. The guy then said that oh they take debit, but it's a 3.50 service charge, that's what they charge us. You need a new service provider or a better accountant. There are better ways to avoid paying taxes by forcing people to pay cash. With all the government support that has been given over this past year wouldn't it make sense to have a clean business. The guy probably thought I couldn't afford the service charge. Can't support this type of business practice out principal. Sadly, I walked out and didn't get to try the food. I'm sure it's good. Hope practices change for small businesses like this.

Ordered beef curry which was supposed to come with roti. It arrived with a big container of rice, which was fine - however this rice tastes like Minute Rice. You know the box stuff, takes 5 minutes? Super salty, a little chemical aftertaste and somehow very gritty, sandy. The curry itself was super disappointing. I had been hopeful with all the good reviews, but man. The curry had no curry taste at all and was very heavy on tomatoes - it was kind of sweet and sour, which was odd. The potatoes inside of it were not cooked all the way through so were crunchy. Beef was not trimmed of any fat so while it was tender it was impossible to chew from the mushy fat layer, and I wasn't expecting to find so much bone. Considering the reviews I may eventually try this place again. And hopefully will have a better meal. Sometimes it's an off day, but as stands I was very saddened by the quality of the food I ordered.
We ordered from here for the first time and it was delicious. The BBQ chicken was a big hit with the whole family. The kids are really picky and they loved it too. Definitely will be ordering from here again.
I’m fairly new to trying out East African cuisine. I will have to say their BBQ platter is a hit with my boys at home. The fries and meat were very flavourful and generous portions (makes a big deal when you have 2 kids). I’ve tried their chicken curry and it was delicious, flavourful without being too oily. I’ve even given the trail mix as gifts for Christmas. Will be back again!
Mouth waters just thinking about the food at KT! Family run business doing it right! Spices, flavors and variety is on point - never disappointed. Owners are personable and I always walk away with a smile. Flavor is to die for. Prices are reasonable and fair. Fresh and comforting! Worth trying!
This place is my preferable site. Of all restaurants I know I prefere it most. I never miss an opportunity to go to visit this place. Whenever I I need a decent dinner, this is the place that comes first to my head. exeptionalgorgeous and many types of food and a large list of dishes.trained staff members, and nice mood. Also important, the expence is reasonable. I praise this restaurant with no hesitation.
Amazing food that's always fresh! The staff is amazingly friendly and make recommendations that are always on point! If you're craving great food with a very at home vibe KT Shop Grill is the place to go!
Had a wonderful experience - lovely mother-son-duo, delicious flavours, incredibly warm and welcoming. 10/10 will return and strongly suggest you stop on by to say hi and sample the menu. A Toronto gem!
