The service I received from the receptionist \Vanessa\ (if that's even her name) was unacceptable. I called in with another receptionist Karen? whom picked up and didn't seem like she wanted to give me Vanessa's name. If a patient is asking for it, don't lie and sound resistant. I walked in a couple days ago to become a new patient as I've heard good things. I filled out the new patient paperwork, booked an appointment, and that was it. On my way to the appointment which was scheduled at 10:40 a.m., I get a call from Vanessa at 10:33 a.m. telling me that I was late for my appointment. She said that I was supposed to be there 10 mins prior to my appointment time to fill out some forms. What forms? The ones I have already filled out? Were you not aware of that or is the communication in your office poor? After I told her I already filled them out, she asked \Did you take the forms?\ No, of course I didn't! Why on earth would I take the forms away if I went there the other day to become a new patient and make an appointment? The receptionist at the time of course took them after she serviced me. Vanessa's question at the point just made no sense at all. She then told me that either way, I had to reschedule as the doctor wouldn't be able to see me today as I was \late\. My appointment was at 10:40 a.m. Not once did anyone inform me that I had to be there early so I assumed I was just supposed to show up at 10:40, no? I would not have been late at all as I was almost at the dental office and would've been there at the time scheduled. All in all, I rescheduled for the next day but then rethought the negative experience I had. I then called back and cancelled my rescheduled appointment and told then that I am not interested in becoming a new patient anymore. Negative experience No business from me

A BIG shout out to the team at Dawson Dental! Dr. Gelfand, Raquel, Claire, Tiffany, Bernice just to name a few of the people that always give me the best experience from beginning to end. Dr. Gelfand is very personable and he went over and beyond to make sure that I was taken care of with my implant. They truly are an AMAZING team- thank you!

I absolutely love Dawson Scarborough even before the superb facelift lol I have always had friendly and welcoming service that has always been consistent. My dentist is amazing as well as all the Hygienist that I’ve had throughout the years. Last but not least, the front of the house team is always smiling and cheerful but most importantly they even remember me by name ️ when I walked in even though I haven’t been in quite a bit outside of today. I know it might sound small but in an industry where there are so many options the little things you do to make clients feel special goes a long way! Thank you and see you soon.

My mother (Verna Smylie) has been seeing Dr. Cohen for many years and has found him to be one of the best dentists out there. I also used to see him until I moved out of town and would highly recommend him. He is highly skilled in his field and there’s no doubt we both feel we are getting the very best of care. The staff is very friendly which creates a welcoming atmosphere. We both highly recommend Dr. Cohen and Dawson Dental in Scarborough.
