Perfect location on the Sauble River where it enters Lake Huron. Gorgeous location.. see my photos. Sauble Beach is a 7 minute drive but there is a smaller beach within a 5 minute walk. Free use of a canoe or kayak for guests. Friendly, helpful owners, clean (but definitely not fancy) rooms. There is a classy hotel on Hwy. 21 in Southampton, but we prefer the Kit-Wat location so we always stay there. The restaurant has been closed this season due to covid but Pizza Delight delivered right to our room. And there is a variety store across from the motel.. also sells meats in case you decide to usthe motel's propane bbq grills.

3 stars is perhaps a little low... I was out touring backroads on my motorcycle, mid-September, when I tripped over this riverside lady, just north of the summertime resort town of Sauble Beach. Looking around the property, I imagine this as a 50 or 60 year old family business that has held its own in the ebb and flow of seasonal business, sending the kids to college with a little left over for a nice personal home. The room I stayed in was tired, well overdue for a refit, the restaurant was closed, and a seatboard broke under a fisherman on the dock bench seat as I walked by. But they do a lot of things well. There are riverside tables, benches, umbrellas and BBQ's for cooking up dinner and socializing. Boat slips, canoe rentals get you on the quiet river, minutes from Lake Huron, with a marina next door. The location is amazing, at the north end of the run along the Huron coast, the south end of the run up the Bruce Peninsula, and 3 hours from Toronto on the Hockley, Creemore, escarpment run. A great spot for a group moto stopover, or out for a week of sailing. As I started it up in the cool morning, I looked at the freshly paved parking lot and I imagine the boss diligently improving a piece here and there as can be. The joint deserves to do well. You get good value for your money. Book early.

We chose this place for our honeymoon as it was in the perfect location. Room opens to the river, the sunsets are amazing. They have a fire pit, gas bbq, paddle rentals. Like this place was just awesome. Restaurant closed due to covid but we went to the local store and BBQd steaks. No complaints. The paddle rentals were my favorite part as we paddled up the river to see sauble falls. Definitely recommend this place. We will come back next year.
Amazing value for money! The staff was very nice and helpful, the room was clean and spacious and the view on the marina was peaceful and pleasant. There is a barbecue outside and canoes you can use. Our best memory during our holidays, and for a great price ; it's really nice that affordable and nice motels like that still exist, thank you so much!
Have been here many times over the last 30 years or so. Never been disappointed and plan on returning again. The rooms are clean and the owners are a pleasure to deal with. Just a short walk to the beach, (who doesn't need a walk now and then?), and the amenities are reasonable.
Great location at a great price, facilities could be improved, like coffee machines and microwaves were not there in the rooms, however, overall a great experience. We will come again.
Beautiful location and customer service is the best. The attention to detail with sanitizing during this troubling time was above and beyond - making us feel very comfortable with staying at the motel. We have already booked to go back in a couple of weeks. Great for couples and families.
