terrible experience. We rushed our dog of 3 years old into the clinic where they seemed to be very helpful, everyone was very fast and eager to help. Unfortunately we lost our dog. We trusted them with not only the handling and cremation of our beloved dog but also in getting what we were told was a complementary paw print (after we had said we were very interested in getting one made.) After waiting patiently for us to get our dogs ashes back so we could have some sort of memorial and say goodbye we found out that her ashes have been sitting on the shelf for almost a week and we were just never called. After getting home we realized we did not receive a paw print like we were told we would be getting. A paw print which we wanted from the start, but us being told it was complementary was just a bonus since we were prepared to pay for anything. After calling several times and leaving a number of messages being told someone would call me back, I finally called and insisted I speak with someone. After explaining to them the situation they assured me they would look into it. A week and a half later I just received a called that they’ve decided to chalk up and call it a miscommunication and a paw print was never made. It is beyond frustrating that not only we lost our dog of 3 years to unforeseen circumstances at a moments notice. But to have trusted a clinic to follow everything to a T obviously at the point that we have her ashes and not a paw print it is to late to get that extra sentimental memory of our dog. I’m very disappointed with everything surrounding this, and that it took so long for us to find out and get told it’s a “miscommunication” We won’t be back and I strongly encourage anyone to please be careful, I would not be surprised if this kind of incompetence only happened once. Best of luck. God bless.

From routine to emergency and end of life care for our horses, the vets (and students) have been phenomenal to work with. Although it's sometimes a phone call we don't want to make, we trust the vet college to send a knowledgeable and compassionate care team out to us.

I found a stray kitten in really bad shape, called the animal hospital at 9:30am on a Saturday and without hesitation told me to bring him on in. They assured me they would treat him and either find a spot for him at the SPCA or let me know if they couldn't place him. The staff was beyond helpful and clearly love animals. It really warmed my heart to know there are awesome people, and organizations like this in my community. I appreciate your efforts U of S animal clinic staff!
