It's not the mountains but it's sure nice to have a local hill again! The slope is nicely groomed. The staff are very helpful and friendly. And it was only 29 for rental equipment and lift ticket for the whole afternoon.

What a local gem skiing snowboarding and tubing right in Saskatoon. More time riding and less time driving

Optimist Hill is a quiet little Saskatoon hill. When I say little, I don't mean little. It is quite big! Optimist Hill is following all restrictions and it is still very fun! There is a terrain park, a tubing hill and then a normal hill for snowboarders and skiers.

It’s an amazing place to get better at snowboarding or skiing or just going tubing and having some fun. I’ve gotten so much better in the past year. The staff there are super nice. Very good place. 5 stars

Nice little hill. However, we arrived at 345 and stood in line waiting to purchase lift tickets and rentals as the hill opens from 4 to 8. There were 7 families in line waiting in front to pay and we waited over 30 min just to pay, then had to go to the rentals line. Theyre only allowed 2 people inside the rental shack because of covid, which is fine, however when it take 12 min per 2 people to get skis and there's 8 people in front of you it can be very time consuming and frustrating! So when we finally got on the hill it was well after 5 pm and my kids were not nearly as interested as before. I would suggest opening up the pay window at 330 and allowing people to actually have from 4 to 8 to ski or snowboard instead of losing over an hour waiting.

Well, I purchased the season pass this year simply because I want to bypass the line up everyday, however, instead of having a photo pass, they only provided a paper card and I still have to line up every time and get a day pass from the window. It is such a waste of time and totally lost the advantage of a season pass. I dont really understand their purposes of doing this especially when they already have staff at the entrance to check people’s passes.

Sadly forced to give “one star”. Ridiculous. Took my niece, and was yelled at by staff. A little too much optimism, if you ask me. Can’t see this lasting long. Ruined a beautiful park for an icy hill, that’s now funded by our tax dollars. Considering moving away from the area due to the noise from their equipment.
