I started both my children at Kumon when they were ages 4 and 7; reading and math. My 4 year old son was reading sentences within a very short time and they both moved through the Kumon levels very quickly. Many times they were working on math of much higher grades. This quickly turned into an enrichment program as they were consistently at the top of their classes. Kumon gave them a solid foundation of learning and they found concepts at school easy to understand. The manager Jenny is a joy to work with - so nurturing and encouraging. This was good for me as getting my kids to do their Kumon homework was sometimes difficult but it is worth it! My kids took Kumon all the way through to grade 10. My eldest is now in her 3rd year of university at business school and my son was just accepted into university business. I highly recommend Kumon to all the parents I meet.

We initially enrolled our 3 children in Kumon to ensure grades were maintained in the classroom. As a parent of a large family, it can be difficult to stay on top of homework, keep them active in sports, and ensure the girls are well-rounded human beings. Kumon has done just that! Completing nightly worksheets keeps the girls’ marks at the top of their class. Kumon has taught the girls self-discipline, to take ownership of their actions and has given them the confidence in knowing they are capable of anything as long as they put in the hard work and effort. Jenny, her husband and her staff are reliably encouraging. While adapting to Zoom sessions, relationships were nurtured with Jenny and her team of student teachers. My youngest (5 years old) especially, was eager to log-on and work with a few of her favourite teachers, seeing them as someone she could aspire to be. Well done, 5 stars
Our daughter has been following the Kumon program at the Sarnia location for the last 2 years and we couldn't be happier! Her reading and math skills are excellent for her age. She just turned 5 and can easily read grade 2 material on her own. With daily commitment and support from the knowledgeable and passionate Kumon Team, our daughter has grown more confident and shown tremendous progress. We are extremely grateful for it. We would definitely recommend Kumon to others.
Kumon has been an awesome experience for my son. My son just started Kumon in grade 7. Within five months he has learned all the foundational basics and has just passed his current grade level. He is now in new math territory beyond his current grade. Kumon has built his confidence in accuracy not only in the Kumon program but also is reflective of his grades at school. He received a 95% in math for this term. We call him the human computer because he is so quick to be able to do the mathematics in his head. As a parent, grading his work I am able to clearly see how he is thinking and doing his work. It is only 20 minutes of his day to complete each workbook and five minutes of my day to grade it. Such a SMALL time commitment to pay for many future benefits. Doing math in class is a no-brainer for him and he has become a good leader in helping his classmates. my daughter joined this program three years ago in Edmonton, my daughter was really excited with the work she's doing, we were happy as well with her progress and everything was fine till we moved to Sarnia. the team here is inconsistent. it started with no follow-up on my kid during the class time (spending 30 min or more during class with no follow up). giving us the new work to do with our kid, and when we explain it to our daughter in our way, the owner would say it's all wrong cause it it's not the Kumon way. when we spoke to her about these issue, she didn't do much. recently when we started to complaining to her again, she told us to find an alternative program and hung up on me. The whole team is unprofessional they don't know what they are doing (telling her wrong answers while she had the right answer). No follow up on my daughter to tell us how is she doing. Pushing us to enroll my daughter in the reading program, We tried to contact her to re enroll our other daughter to the same program, and she didn't care and hung up the phone before we even discuss it. i wouldn't recommend this place to anyone. if you want, you can join another location and work remotely better than this location.
