The customer service here is horrible. I hate going to this camera shop because of the bad customer service, but the location is convenient as I live 3 minutes away. As a journalist, I often call around multiple calgary shops in search of the gadgets that I need, and unfortunately, Saneal Cameras is one of the last places I go to - for I dread having to deal with the gentleman who works up front.

The manager (Jack) and the owner were very helpful and pleasant to deal with. I came back today to price matched my earlier purchased and they gave to me the discounts without any hustles. Very professional, honest and straight forward guys.. I would be buying all my next gears from Saneal from now onwards..

I had been searching for a good quality bridge camera for a few months. I read a thousand reviews and was therefore getting further from a decision (funny how that works, says the reviewer). They were aces with a lens repair many years ago so I called Saneal to see if there were some options in store. William took time on the phone to find out exactly what I was looking for, what my price range was, and named a few for me to read up on that were readily available. I was feeling hopeful right off the bat. In the store, William and his colleague Jack demonstrated their top picks and were knowledgeable and honest about the strengths and weaknesses of each. They wanted to know what was (and wasn't!) important for me and I walked out 100% confident, under budget thanks to a sale price, with every single thing on my \must have features\ list - as well as a case and a 4K SD card Jack recommended that were both well priced. The return policy was not a factor for me; a good camera lasts a decade with loving care and I didn't go into it with an intention or hope of trying and returning different models... I wanted the right one. It was more like buying a car and going for a test drive: because I was able to shoot with and press all the buttons on the cameras in the Saneal store, there wasn't any mystery about what would be in the box or how it would perform. It is a bit of a different mindset from shopping and returning online or at stores that keep a variety of \open box\ returned items, but I see a lot of benefits in drawing on a neighbourhood business's expertise to help make the right choice the first time when it comes to a significant purchase.
