The best pupusas I've tried in Vancouver. Thanks to this family whose make you feel welcoming :) I had troubles finding this place, at first I though it was always closed until I found it was hided by cars. Not regret, after all I got my favourite salvadorean restaurant :)

Thank god there is a new pupuseria closer to my apartment. Ive seen this place a couple of times during my daily commute to Kwantlen University. I was a bit confused at first as to what this place was, but as soon as I saw the sign that said "pupusas" I knew I had to stop by. It is a small restaurant, ran by two brothers and their mother. They are super friendly and make you feel welcomed. The menu is relatively small compared to other Salvadoran restaurants i have been to but considering that they are new its completely doable. I spoke with Mary the cook and she said she has other dishes to be added to the menu in the coming weeks, such as "carne asada". I look forward to these new dishes and desserts that they will be offering soon. The Pupusas are definitely the best I've had in a long time. Coming from New York, and the third largest Salvadorian community in the states, I had the luxury of a Pupuseria on almost every corner.... Literally. However, these Pupusas really hit the spot because they are Homeade style whereas most Salvadorian restaurants will serve a restaurant style Pupusa. Its kind of hard to explain, but if you're salvadorian you should understand. I guess its more of a thing where restaurant style Pupusas tend to have more Masa, Whereas, the home style ones are a bit thinner and have the cheese kind of coming out a bit to the point where a bit of it gets grilled..... The prices are great, and they have Horchata!!! I highly recommend this place!
