Wonderful stay at the marina. Much quieter than we are used to due to the Pandemic and the border closure. The staff are very friendly and helpful. Nice to see the upgrading of some of the wharfs. We come here annually and will continue to do so. Be careful about trusting a negative review. Sometimes there is much more to the story than the reviewer is telling. MV Tuak.

Extremely helpful staff. Always someone on hand to help guide your boat in. Five minute walk to everything in Ganges.
Up until a few weeks ago, we had been loyal customers of Ganges Marina for over 20 years. The new manager Kyle put an end to that with a single snarly, argumentative phone call, ostensibly to confirm our reservation but apparently to vent. After waking me before 08:00, he launched into a one-sided diatribe about revenue and dock space, not listening at all to my attempts to get some basic questions answered. And he hung up! To be fair, when I made the reservation with his wife, she was wonderful to deal with. But all her good work was undone by her bellicose husband. The marina itself is old and tired, with narrow, low, unstable docks that marina staff have on occasion had to tie together in advance of a high wind. Laundry and showers are old and small. Washrooms at the head of the gangway are generally clean. Fuel is available. Town center is less than a 5 minute walk. At this writing (August 2020), water is limited to 100 liters per boat. For a little more money, nearby Salt Spring Marina is a much better option
We stayed twice this year, our first 3-day stay enticed us to return for two full weeks. Managers Shelley and Kyle are awesome hosts, pleasant to deal with and most accommodating to our changing needs. Formerly a marina of last resort, the entire vibe of Ganges Marina has changed under their lead, turning it into a destination of choice. We'll be back next year for sure.
Never once said welcome to the marina. More interested in making sure you new all the rules to there code of conduct. On the phone they tell us we get a 100 liters of water plus you can buy water for 4 cents a liter. When you get there they say they were just kidding you can’t buy any water. Five of our boats in our group had to divert to Sidney to get water. Not impressed. The new management needs to get some people skills. And stop trying to run it like a prison camp. The place was empty when we arrived and it was the whole time. I can see why. On a positive note the young girl and young guy. We’re extremely friendly and helpful hopefully one day they will take over and then i will come back. By the way the place next door has all new docks and a pub Salt spring marina. Never tried it but we will in a few days
