Washrooms were absolutely filthy. Not just messy, dirty! Toilets, sinks, floors. I would not eat here.
A great meal and service stop in Eastern Ontario, between Ottawa and Montreal
The men's washroom was filthy with overflowing urinal and no soap in the dispensers. We could see the back kitchen was disorganized so we opted to leave. Thank god the staff was slow at serving the small queue of people, it left us time to notice this.
This stop has never been top-notch... But it seems like it's undergone very little maintenance and improvements in the past 20 years since I last visited. The whole place has a veneer of desperation and grease... Not very pleasant. The old-fashioned fast-food-type seating (with the hard plastic seats attached to the table) is outdated and uncomfortable, difficult to navigate work a stroller, and not accessible for those with reduced mobility. I was able to sit and eat my meal there, though, so it does the job. The signage outside refers to a long-since-closed restaurant (Dunn's Express), and it sits at the back of the building, shuttered and forgotten. The washrooms are tiny and grimy, not wheelchair- or stroller-accessible, and there is no change table.
