Visited for the first time yesterday. Beautiful interior, and pleasant patio. Charming, friendly service. LOVED the apple and brie pizza. Dilemma for future visits: Would like to try other delicious-looking menu items, but will have to miss out on this to do so! Will definitely return.
Drinks were good but the food was not the greatest. Pizza was expensive and not good, felt as it was put in a microwave or cooked for only a short period of time (I work at a pizzeria and know how it should be cooked) as well as the toppings felt very cheap, like 1-2 mushrooms a slice. But the chicken strips were good but felt like they didn’t give enough for the price. Place is very nice as well as staff so I give it. 2/5. Would go back for a couple of drinks but not going near the food.
Went to Saddlery yesterday for the Ciao Dine About Winnipeg event with a couple friends. Chose the potato leek soup to start. Hearty and savory with bacon. Had the surf and turf for my entree. Steak was perfectly cooked at medium rare. Dessert was absolutely delicious! An apple toffee cake with caramel sauce. Yum!
